For ten years Berlin-based artist Tellavision has experimented with the sound of electronica and pop, releasing three albums within that span. Now with her new LP Add Land arriving April 12th on the Bureau B label, Tellavision unveils the video for her latest single ‘Salty Man’. Directed by ISLA3000, the well-shot visuals weave between a more natural surrounding and a studio environment, placing an emphasis on Tellavision’s performance of the tune.
Touching on the song, Tellavision mentioned:
“The Salty Man is a figure which describes one of a mankind – an over-salted one, preferring the total suppression. Salty Man suppresses everything which triggers an uncomfortable feeling to him or her and therefore most likely suppresses oneself.
Building a tiny grid, following more and more principles and rather escapes everything that doesn’t suit the made-up grid. Salty Man is convinced to not carry any failures because own failures are the worst to the Salty Man.
At the same time Salty Man is blaming others for his very uncomfortable feeling. Good news: It’s possible to get rid of this crust at any time.”
