Paying homage to Philip Seymour Hoffman, who passed away on Feb. 2nd, 2014, London group Liu Bei paint a vivid picture of the possible last moments of the acclaimed actor’s life before his death. The song is taken from Liu Bei’s double A-side 7″ ‘Mind Over Matter / Philip Seymour Hoffman’, which was released on September 25th.

Expressing the inspiration behind ‘Philip Seymour Hoffman’, Liu Bei front man Richard Walters wrote:

“Philip Seymour Hoffman was without question my favourite actor, someone I found so familiar and right in every role. When he died I was genuinely broken by it, it felt like such an unexpected loss…the chorus line was originally me jokingly asking who’s going to play me in the big Oliver Stone biopic of my life, but then just became about him…who the fuck is going to play Philip Seymour Hoffman…”
