Throughout the 90s, the style of liquid drum and bass captivated audiences worldwide with acts like LTJ Bukem, Blu Mar Ten, 4hero and others, creating an atmospheric, jazz influenced sound that acted as a balance to the darker, more hardcore D&B that was dominant during that period. However, by the mid-2000s, drum and bass as a whole began to take the passenger seat as genres like dubstep moved towards the forefront, acting as one of the driving sounds of electronic music. However, as proven decade after decade, music is cyclical, and Blu Mar Ten’s forthcoming album “Famous Lost Words” could not have happened at a better time. Delving back into the cosmic, melodic style of drum and bass, as well as downtempo, “Famous Lost Words” can be considered a homecoming of sorts, and fans will be there standing with open arms.
