Oslo, Norway based musician, artist and writer Jenny Hval has recorded a cover of the Paul Simon record “The Cool, Cool River”. If you know anything about the original, then you will remember that the song was heavily influenced by West African rhythms and rich with instrumentation. Jenny Hval’s version is extremely stripped down and almost eerie in a sense. However, we love when an artist does a cover version of a track and gives it their twist, distinguishing it from the original. Have a listen.
