During the early nineties it wasn’t uncommon for house records to have variations of style in the production. Whether breaks were incorporated or elements of Hip-Hop, people flocked on the dancefloor without prejudices of sound. Todd “The God” Terry was instrumental in creating many of those hits and continues to blur the lines of any borders placed on house music. His latest track is an upbeat, funk filled record containing swinging horn samples and a pulsating bassline that will bring the dead to life. You can also hear the tints of acid house in the production. Todd once again delivers another club heavy hitter. “Rock That” is out now on Todd Terry’s In House Records. Have a listen.
