It’s hard to find an artist who can do a repeat performance after delivering an amazing album previously. What’s even more rare is when the artist fills a number of positions such as singer, songwriter, musician and not to mention runs a label, yet still manages to deliver an incredibly produced record filled with soul, rock, jazz, dub, acoustic and electronica without sounding too cluttered and unnecessary. Wah Wah 45 boss Adam Scrimshire has done just that with his forthcoming album “Bight”, filling big shoes after what was considered one of the best albums of 2011, “The Hollow”. Collaborating with vocalist Stac as well as Faye Houston of Resonators, the LP’s beauty lies in Scrimshire’s organic instrumentation and brilliant compositions, where the past meets the present and meloncholy hugs hope. “Bight” is truly sonically enriching.
Scrimshire “Bight” is out 27th May on Wah Wah 45.
