Norma Return with Their Lifting Track ‘Spectacular Bid’

It's been four years since Swedish band Norma released their second LP 'The Invisible Mother'. Having built a solid reputation for their Krautrock style, the group is now set to bring forth a third album landing later this year. The first single taken from the album is their new single titled 'Spectacular Bid'. Whilst haunting guitar strums coexit with vocal sample of horse race commentary, dreamy pop melodies create a seductive balance between a thin light and dark line which runs dead in the middle. You can stream 'Spectacular Bid' below. Have a listen.

Art Feynman ‘Slow Down’ Video

Art Feynman will release his debut album 'Blast Off Through The Wicker' on July 14th via Western Vinyl. Known for his culture-clashing hybrid of music ranging from krautrock to Highlife, he now unveils his new video 'Slow Down', directed by Terri Loewenthal. A trippy collage of sometimes blurred visuals of city shots, people and bursting flashes of lights, the video is definitely a mind spin, yet coincides well with the track itself. Have a look.

Top Pick: Lea Porcelain’s ‘Hymns To The Night’

Over the years there have been a resurgence of the post-punk, industrial, synth and new wave sound that groups like Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails helped to foster into the mainstream psyche. However, it is a rare feat at times to actually come across bands who are trying to push the sound further rather than simply fostering a carbon copy version of the previous groups mentioned. However, when Berlin-based Lea Porcelain came on the scene back in 2015, there was something very other about the pair. Songs such as 'A Year From Here' and 'Out Is In' straddled between melancholic electronica, krautrock, post punk and things in between.

ColoRising Mixes 22: Sofia Härdig

Singer, musician and composer Sofia Härdig is considered to be one of the leading acts coming out of Sweden with a sound organic and raw, explosively bursting out of the seams with energy. No stranger to the music industry, Härdig has worked with the likes of Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Julia Crafitz of Pussy Galore, not to mention Grammy Award winning group The Hellacopters and more. In a sense the Swedish artist reflects the very idea of what a true rock star looks, feels and sounds like. Whilst her native country has maintained a tradition of pumping out pop acts, Härdig's music is experimental, racing, unafraid and unapologetic. Her visuals are performance art, something that was a staple in New York's East Village punk and new wave scene or West Berlin in the 70s and 80s.
