Zooni first made their debut earlier this year with the track ‘Pany’. Whilst delicate in sound, the band’s latest effort ‘Cotton Blue’ finds the group going darker and edgier in sound. Although some of the more experimental elements can be traced back to their second song ‘Haze’, ‘Cotton Blue’ is raw and punchy with eerie piano stabs flowing over a sinister bass line. Nocturnal in feel, the track falls along the lines of acts such as Massive Attack and Radiohead. ‘Cotton Blue’ is out now via Square Leg Records.
