Trevor Powers initially put his Youth Lagoon moniker on semiretirement after 2016. After going through a horrid health experience in 2021, Powers eventually brought back the Youth Lagoon name, releasing his Heaven Is a Junkyard LP back in June of 2023. Powers now returns with a new track dubbed ‘Football’, which is out now digitally and limited edition 7″ vinyl.

‘Football’ is a charming handing which is lead by sparkling piano riffs which glide on top of swinging drum kicks that have a Hip-Hop sensibility. Powers’ crafty songwriting and tender melodies are heart warming, making the overall song a fantastic release from the creative.
