Alt band Vuvuvultures have officially called it quits. Consisting of model Harmony Boucher, Nicole Bettencourt Coelho, Nicole Bettencourt Coelho and Paul Ressel, the London-based outfit organically built up a solid following DIY style and caught the attention of the press around the world with their sometimes dark, sometimes lighthearted genre-bending sound. The band released their debut album “Push / Pull” back in July of 2013 on their own independent label Energy Snake Records. The news came via Harmony Boucher’s Facebook page as the front-woman wrote:
“To all that are reading this!
Friends, family, fans and supporters of what was vuvuvultures.
It brings me great sadness to announce that as of about a month ago the band that was vuvuvultures no longer exists.
We had some great times and I feel we achieved some great music and videos. I’m very proud to have been a part of the roller coaster that was VVV and I’m sad we couldn’t see it go further.
Relationship break downs and tension unfortunately eventually drove us apart and we are moving on to other things.
I will be continuing to make music and model and anything else I can be doing I will be. I might start a million different bands I might never play in a band again. I’m exhausted and I’m restarting life again so I’ll let you know !
I just wanted to let everyone know because you all mean so much to me and without you this band wouldn’t have gotton anywhere at all! Your support means a great deal to me and felt you should be in the know.
Please keep an ear out for future music and stuff! I’ll be keeping busy and I’d love to see you all again :)))
Big love
Harmony Boucher”
As the Geoffrey Chaucer saying goes, “all good things must come to end”, but you can still enjoy the band’s music and remember the better times.
