Dublin legends U2 have released a new EP titled Days of Ash. The new work comes ahead of a new album that is slated to land sometime in late 2026.

Comprised of six tracks in total, the record features guest appearances by Ed Sheeran, Taras Topolia, Adeola, and Jacknife Lee. Delivering political and social commentary, something that has been associated with the Irish group since earlier records, the EP finds the band as optimal as ever, delivering some of their best music, bridging familiar rhythms with modern sonics that are punch packing. The songs are definitely stadium performance ready. The members of U2 once again bring forth some of the most potent and necessary sounds to help the common man get through these troubling and uncertain times.

On their official website, Bono wrote:

“It’s been a thrill having the four of us back together in the studio over the last year. The songs on Days of Ash are very different in mood and theme to the ones we’re going to put on our album later in the year. These EP tracks couldn’t wait; these songs were impatient to be out in the world. They are songs of defiance and dismay.”
