The city of Brighton has exploded with loads of great bands bursting from the local music scene. One of the bands that has been on our radar for a while is Thyla. Fronted by singer Millie Duthie, the group made their debut back in 2017 with the song ‘Ferris Wheel’. Since that time, they have gone on to drop cuts like “Pristine’ and ‘Tell Each Other Lies’, both tracks maintaining their own individuality of sound. Thyla have now unveiled their new single ‘Blame’. Their most fiery tune yet, racing post-punk guitars create an angst as power drumming adds a thunderous roar. ‘Blame’ is out now on B3SCI Records.
Touching on the single, Thyla stated:
“Blame is about the uncharacteristic choices people make when they’re trying to be like someone else, for the sake of someone else, at a cost to themselves. It’s a neurotic frenzy of guitars with self conscious lyrics about the state of paralysis jealously puts you in; blind anger with no real solution.”
