Dublin band The Murder Capital have announced the release of their forthcoming new album. Titled Blindness, the LP will land February 21, 2025. This follows their critically acclaimed 2023 LP Gigi’s Recovery. Along with the news, The Murder Capital have also shared their new single ‘Words Lost Meaning’.

‘Words Lost Meaning’ highlights the band’s shifting of sound, making their music even more accessible since their early post-punk beginnings. A more straight ahead rock offering with a pop sensibility, the subject of the tune reflects love’s tombstone in regards to its core meaning when it’s said without real intention. The Murder Capital continue to mature as a band which is surely represented by this new cut.

“‘Words Lost Meaning’ is where love goes to die. When the words “I love you” are used without thought, without feeling, even as a way to close a conversation, they become stale and diffused. No words mean more than those three combined.”
