Over the past couple months The Libertines have been sharing a couple of singles that are taken from their forthcoming ‘All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade’, which is out March 8th. Still operating like a well oiled machined, the tracks have been exactly what one would expect from the UK outfit. Back once again, The Libertines now unveil their third single titled ‘Shiver’.
‘Shiver’ is a fantastic record that deals with the topic of death. The moody instrumentation is absolutely gorgeous, magnifying the group’s uncanny ability to deliver melancholic indie to all out fire starting classic rock & roll, and everything in-between.
The Libertines have also shared an accompanying video for ‘Shiver’. Shot in Margate, the visuals feature a group attending a funeral, eventually carrying the casket out to the street and down to ocean where they finally release it into the water. The video is directed by Alexander Brown.
