Sitting pool side surrounded by beautiful people day in and day out whilst 80s electro pop plays in constant rotation is a mere fantasy to most of us. However, Michele Scheveger and Simone Cavalli better known as The C.I.P have captured the this utopian vision in the audible format with their LP entitled Daydream. Previously released only in Italy, Daydream will now get a global release on March 5th courtesy of Volcan Records. Having won MTV’s Best New Generation Electro award, the band released a video for the first single “We’ll Set The World On Fire” this past summer. Produced by Antonio Filippelli, the new album is a fun-spirited, melting pot of pop, new wave and electro – a kind of soundtrack to a party filled with models, lots of high heels, champagne and fashionistas. If there is any record to continuously capture the vibe of the summer throughout the year, Daydream will undoubtedly be the top choice.
