It’s been three years since Canadian band The Broken Islands released their 2020 album ‘Masquerade’. Now with their third LP cooking in the studio, the group have shared their new single ‘Tempest’.

Blending a hybrid of sounds that include shoegaze, post-punk, dark pop, and trip-hop, ‘Tempest’ is a haunting recording that begins with crunching synths, eventually transitioning into more of an upbeat piece that while dance groove friendly, still manages to never lose its edge.
