Tijuana outfit Mint Field have announced news regarding their forthcoming EP 'Mientras Esperas'. Slated to land March 1st on Innovative Leisure, the band touches on sociological issues as well as the questioning one's existence. Comprised of five cuts in total, one of the singles features is this haunting tune 'Jardin de la Paz'. With the production quite minimal, the song is led by an eerie guitar riff, not to mention a thick, punching bass line, all accompanied by ghostly vocal works. Tijuana-based duo Mint Field are a musical pair who should definitely be on your radar. With their debut LP 'Pasar De Las Luces' landing Feb 23rd on Innovative Leisure, these girls are delivering excellent psych, shoegaze and dream pop sounds. Their latest single 'Quiero Otoño de Nuevo' is a perfect reflection of these styles whipped into one exciting package.
Mint Field have also shared the video to 'Quiero Otoño de Nuevo'. The visuals feature a guy who facilitates the imagery on billboards, eventually finding himself struggling to remove a message that has now popped up on the screen, broadcasting it to the the outside world. With their debut album 'Pasar De Las Luces' set to land February 23rd via Innovative Leisure Records, Tijuana-based duo Mint Field have unveiled the video for their latest single 'Ojos En El Carro'. Directed by Alejandra Villalba García and César Ortiz, the hauntingly artistic video, shot in black and white, reflects the idea of death and spirits as women in some clips almost represent ghostly beings, whilst almost performing a ritualistic celebration in other scenes.
