With the lyrics calling on a lover to remain steadfast and not so quick to pull away despite the ups and downs, the tune follows Aly & AJ's previous song 'Church'.

Montreal group Paupière have returned with their new single 'Howard Carter'. An ode the legendary London Egyptologist and archaeologist who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, the musical palette is that of sexy and infectious synth-pop and disco. With the lyrics sung in French, the upbeat track may not instantly trigger thoughts of Howard Carter's excavation, but it's definitely a soundtrack for our weekends. Have a listen.
Chromatics are set to hit the road for a tour across North America, their first public outing as a group in more than five years. We're keeping our fingers crossed in hopes that a new album will also be on the way. In the meantime, the band have shared a new single and video titled 'Time Rider'. Directed by Chromatics themselves, it consists of kaleidoscopic visuals of singer Ruth Radelet performing the tune in the Italians Do It Better cinematic fashion. Doncaster's Jake Cope returns with a new track under his Guest Singer project entitled 'My Parallel', the follow-up to his single 'New Experience'. Tapping into an early 80s new wave sound, the track is sprinkled with a light dash of Krautrock, as bouncy drum kicks accompany sharp synth stabs. Reminiscent of early Talking Heads, the song is taken from Guest Singer's upcoming EP 'I’m Irrelevant'.
L.A.-based duo Magdalena Bay have shared the video for their single 'Ghost'. The lo-fi visuals, which feature the clips of Mica Tenenbaum singing in a bath tub, have an 80s VHS aesthetic to it. The song follows the band's previous cut 'The Girls' which was unveiled about a month ago.
Molly Nilsson has shared the video for her track 'Gun Control', taken from her latest album '2020'. Directed by Maria Cecilia Tedemalm, Nilsson treks around Glasgow.
