No strangers to Defected Records having released 'The Lights Go On' and 'The World Is Crazy' EPs years back, Italian duo Supernova return to the imprint with their latest single 'Can't Stand' featuring Los Angeles-based singer Marley Monroe. With pulsing 4x4 drum kicks and stabbing effects serving as the backdrop, Munroe pumps out soulful vocals giving the track a classic New York house feel. You can stream 'Can't Stand' below.
Unveiling her single 'Supernova' last month, French singer sarasara now brings forth a remix by legendary producer Matthew Herbert. This combination seems quite appropriate considering that both acts have built a reputation on creating experimental and avant garde electronica. What Herbert dubs as the 'White Rabbit Mix', the rework is moody piece that painted with a rubbery bass line, skittering back vocals and light drums. 'Supernova' is currently out now via One Little Indian. Have a listen.
