Over the past month St. Vincent has shared the singles 'Broken Man' and 'Flea', which are both taken from her upcoming album 'All Born Screaming', out April 26th.
Releasing his album 'Hyperspace' back in November of 2019, Beck now enlists St. Vincent to rework his song 'Uneventful Days', which is featured on the LP. For this remix, St. Vincent gives the track a spaced-out, funk makeover. Using wobbly synths as the meat of the production, broken drum patterns and occasional guitar play are also added in the mix.
St. Vincent calls upon techno heroine Nina Kraviz to remix her track 'New York', which is taken from her forthcoming 'MASSEDUCTION Rewired' LP, out December 13th. Minimal in production, the track is composed of haunting and ghostly harmonies with Kraviz topping them off with her own seductive vocal narrative. Extremely spacious, the pulsing drums are at times met with strings and bubbling effects. Oozing with sexiness, you can stream the rework below.
St. Vincent has unveiled a restructured version of her track 'Slow Disco', which she titles 'Fast Slow Disco'. Whilst the original composition is more melancholic, the new rework teeters more towards a husky disco feel with a taste of electro and of course pop. Musically this is a great sound for the singer and musician who has never been afraid to experiment with various genres. The original version is taken from her latest album 'MASSEDUCTION' which is currently out now. Have a listen.
With their new LP 'Born in the Echoes', the follow-up album to their 2010 'Further' scheduled for release July 17th , The Chemical Brothers share their new single 'Under Neon Lights ' featuring St. Vincent.
