Silicone Soul captures the pure and core essence of not only house but dance music as a whole. The Glasgow duo comprised of Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie, who launched their careers in the late nineties, composed not only some of the most deep and soulful tracks this side of the UK and European shores, but have also spawned chart topping hits.
DJ extraordinaire and Fools Gold label owner A-Trak has joined forces with Glasgow duo Illyus & Barrientos to release their collaborative single 'Together At Last'. A house banger, 'Together At Last' is thrives with a pulsing bass line, thumping 4x4 drums and classic gospel vocals that gives it that sense of classicism, all the while remaining something for the modern dance floor.
Sheffield duo Snakehips have joined forces with Atlanta Hip-Hop group EARTHGANG for a silky house-driven single titled 'Run It Up'. An absolute mesmeric release, glistening keys and throbbing 4x4 kicks gel perfectly with EARTHGANG's fluid delivery. Whilst EARTHGANG have built a reputation for their unorthodox approach to Hip-Hop cuts, they sound amazing over soulful house production.

L.A. producer Pat Lok steps up with a soulful house offering dubbed 'Salvation'. The song is taken from his forthcoming EP 'Gone is Yesterday', which will get released via Kitsune Musique. Tapping into more of a 90s styling, the tune is stacked with ethereal synths, lush vocals and grooving 4x4 kicks. Definitely a feel-good and uplifting record, 'Salvation' is that needed ray of sunshine at the moment.
NYC producer and DJ Ralph Session has released his new EP 'A Touch of Class'. Similar to the title, the record is just that, with is an illustrious work of house music spanning from soulful to deep, with a vibrant splash of Brazilian-fused rhythms on the tune 'Lay It Down'. Whilst a few songs on the EP are stacked with gorgeous vocal weaves, Ralph Session has also included instrumental versions of 'The Night' and 'Feelings'.
Having blazed 2016 with their EP 'The Point', T. Williams and James Jacob come together yet again for the release of their new record 'The Learning Process'. Out via Strictly Rhythms, the EP features piano contribution from Tim Deluxe. The two track release navigates between jazzy, soulful 4x4 and all out chunky drum-led dance floor scorchers. Clearly Williams and Jacob have a dynamic production chemistry, which we're hoping this leads to a possible full-length in the future. You can stream the EP below.
