NYC band Big Thief dropped their 'Masterpiece' EP via Saddle Creek Records a few months back. Packing in lush and moody sounds of Americana into four songs, the group have shared one of the highlight tracks taken from the record. 'Paul', a breezy slice of alt-rock, is that song that plays in a break-up scene where one of the members in the couple packs their bags, hops in the car and drives off into the sunset as the other party stands there with a pitiful stare. Whilst the song may feel quite melancholic to the one who has been left behind, it's a beautiful and liberating soundtrack for the other. Have a listen.

'Lately' is taken from Elle Exxe's debut album 'Love Fuelled Hate', scheduled for release September 9th. Check it out.

Yet with all these attributes, one of the things that undoubtedly set Prince apart from many acts was his fearlessness when it came to challenging the norm.
