We always have time for London band Warmduscher. You can be guaranteed to get a high dose of fun, absurdity, and ultimately a musical melting pot ranging from post-punk to punk funk to dance. In fact, their 2019 LP 'Tainted Lunch' is still in rotation here at ColoRising.
With their new EP 'Redevelopment' currently out now, Bristol band Home Counties have dropped their new single 'That's Where The Money's Gone'. An upbeat twist of post-punk and punk funk, the tune is built on spunky guitar lines, a thumping bass line, claps and swinging drums, the largely instrumental-driven song is a fun ride that makes you want to shake a leg.
Back in 2017, Los Angeles band French Vanilla released their self-titled debut LP. Musically harking back to late 70s - early 80s post-punk, funk and no wave, their dynamic energy combined with cheeky deliveries made the band quite exciting.
Brighton band White Room make their return with their latest single 'Shoot'. Taking inspiration from a 70s - early 80s punk funk, new wave and post punk period, the record has a Talking Heads feel that creates a lovely sense of nostalgia and makes for a quite exciting sound from the promising band who have been on our radar for a little while now. White Room continue to bring forth incredible records, getting better with each release. Check it out.
