Having already shared the singles 'I Wanna Lose' and 'Gen-Z', the trio now step forth with the third cut entitled 'True Believers'. Fusing a heavy mesh of hard rock, psychedelic and post-punk, the track powers through with a sense of urgency as the content touches on chaos of the current world and the continuous bombardment of bad news.
Squid have unveiled two covers on Bandcamp with the proceeds going to East Bristol Food Bank as a way to help offset the those who have been financially hit hard due to Covid-19. The first remake is of Robert Wyatt's 1999 cut 'Pigs... (In There)' with the second being a cover version of Steve Reich’s 1972 tune 'Clapping Music'.
Swedish trio Spunsugar have shared their new single 'Run', a fiery post-punk meets alternative handing laced with a dash of shoegaze. With the song instantly launching into powering guitar riffs with a rumbling bass line and hard-hitting drumming shortly following, the lyrics address running away from what is perceived is fearful things, whether situational or taught.

Glasgow band Dead Pony have unveiled their latest recording 'Sharp Tongues'. The single is an energetic and fiery blast of post-punk that revs with a stadium chanting chorus and pop melodies that equal one mountainous release. Comprised of four tracks, the band merges the sounds of post-punk, no wave, garage and noise rock.
Denmark-based Nicolas Michaux steps up with a fantastic tune titled 'Parrot'. Driven by a funky bass line and upbeat drums, the track embodies the spirit of classic Talking Heads. Whilst the production is quite spacious, towards the end Michaux even adds a slight Nigerian Afrobeat tinge to the song.
Sinead O'Brien makes her return with a new track dubbed 'Strangers In Danger'. The song is taken from her upcoming EP 'Drowning In Blessings', landing this September on Chess Club Records. Produced by Dan Carey, with the music written by Sinead herself along with Julian Hanson and Oscar Robertson, 'Strangers In Danger' finds the Irish poet dissecting the idea of one thing existing in the state of duplexity.

Glasgows The Ninth Wave have released the video to their track 'I'm Only Going to Hurt You', which is taken from their upcoming EP 'Happy Days!', landing July 31st. What you have here is a tormented woman, forced to deal with pain whilst in an isolated room. With her surroundings consisting of only an old TV and a lamp, she goes from a manic state to finally a place of peace. 'I'm Only Going to Hurt You' is directed by Bryan M Ferguson.
