Los Angeles artist Ariel Beesley grapples with stepping away from a less than perfect relationship in her track 'Palm Springs'. A sparkling offering of indie and electro, with etchings of post-punk and new wave, Beesley delivers a charming performance as the upbeat production moves with a thumping bass line, fuzzy synths and zipping guitar lines. A dazzling cut, the song follows her self-titled EP, released back in 2018.
Bristol band Football FC may only have a few records out, but one thing is certain, this band packs a punch! After releasing the impressive post-punk / coldwave track 'No Lover Like A Luger', the group now return with their thunderous single 'Big Time'. Striking like a heavyweight boxer's uppercut to the chin, the tune finds Football FC yet again executing a perfect mesh of hard-edged post-punk and new wave, with the lyrical content painting a window into the mind of a capitalist. A deep, reverberating bass line is the pipeline of the instrumentation whilst sinister guitar lines lash throughout. Another stellar offering, we can't wait to hear more from the promising outfit.

A roller coaster ride of post-punk, new wave and art-pop, krautrock and more, the six-track record is theatre in itself with vocalist Jack Merrett delivering bold performances reminiscent of the likes of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and even elements of Mark E. Manchester's Dantevilles strike with a blazing iron in their latest single 'Fool For You'. Produced by Joseph Cross, the song is an energetic ride of punchy indie with splashes of new wave. Slick instrumentation combined with lively vocals, Dantevilles definitely took a no holds barred approach with the recording, delivering one thrilling and utterly brilliant track.
Stockholm band Sudakistan have released a monster of a single entitled 'Automation'. A flawless meshing of styles, the outfit blends together everything from alternative to new wave and disco. The upbeat, at times raging production is complimented by saucy vocals. With the lyrical content a sort of call to action of breaking away from that which controls you, 'Automation' is that musical roller coaster ride that you never want to end. The song is taken from 7" release which includes a Spanish cover version of The Stooges' 'I Wanna Be Your Dog'.
