Last year Hip-Hop Queen Missy Elliott dropped her 'Iconology' EP, which marked a pleasant return for the Virginia-raised artist. She now makes her return with the video treatment for the song 'Cool Off', which was also featured on the record. Now if anyone remotely knows anything about Missy, you know that the visuals are always on a high level. For 'Cool Off', there is also no exception. Directed by Daniel Russell, the video features vibrant dancers in a museum busting out their moves while Missy is rotating in a weeble costume. Musically the song draws inspiration from the Miami bass era, spearheaded by Luther Campbell aka Uncle Luke fka Luke Skywalker.
In a day and age where people cut corners in terms of video production, Hip-Hop queen Missy Elliott continues to actually raise the visual levels. Here is the latest vid for her song 'DripDemeanor' featuring Sum1. To get straight to the point, it has great dancing in it, futuristic outfits including glow in the dark attire in some scenes, incredible light set-ups and frankly a splash of creativity that always separates her from the pack. Again, it's Missy's world and she will always hold a crown and position that will be more than hard to take...period.
Lizzo has surely been at the top of her game, and the music industry for that matter, after releasing her critically acclaimed third LP 'Cuz I Love You'. She now unleashes the official video for her single 'Tempo' featuring none other than the Queen herself Missy Elliott.
