Top Pick: Batz ‘Darlin”

Australian band Batz are hands down one of our fave groups from the land down under. We were supporters of the five-piece before their debut EP and of course by the time they released their killer record 'Night Terrors', the Melbourne-based band did not disappoint in any shape, form or fashion. With a blend of punk, garage, indie and more, Batz can do no wrong in our eyes at the moment. Now back with a new song titled 'Darlin'', the indie/post-punk bit finds the crew bridging the energy of their raw sound of the past with more even polished production, making this one another top-rated and insanely addicting release. Listen to Aphir’s Experimental Track ‘No Muse’

Back in 2015 Melbourne Becki Whitton aka Aphir released her LP 'Holodreem', which was a bridging of two EPs titled 'Abandon' and 'Halved'. A gothic take of minimalism with each track driven purely by vocals, Aphir now returns with her latest single called 'No Muse'. Using her angelic voice as an instrument that coincides with the experimental dash of electronica, there is haunting feel to the song, but no less brilliant and imaginative. 'No Muse' is taken from Aphir's forthcoming LP Twin Earth, landing in 2017. Have a listen.

Slum Sociable Share Their Hypnotic Single ‘Name Call’

Melbourne's Slum Sociable received a lot of musical love with their 2015 EP 'TQ'. Having acquired spins on BBC Radio 1, the duo is now set gearing up to release their awaited debut LP scheduled to land in 2017. The first single taken from the upcoming record is the atmospheric track 'Name Call'. With the production straddling the lines of soul, hazy pop, electronica and Hip-Hop, Slum Sociable have finely weaved together an array of styles, simultaneously cohesive and stunning. Check it out.

Lone Remixes Kllo’s ‘Bolide’

Melbourne duo Kllo released their EP 'Well Worn' a few months back to welcomed receptions. One the songs taken from the EP, 'Bolide', has now gotten the remix treatment courtesy of producer Lone. Taking notes from pages out of the broken beat and future jazz chapters of electronic music, the spacey rework is out now. You can listen to the track down at the bottom.

Stream Bloodhounds On My Trail’s ‘Over The Wall’

Two years ago Australian band Bloodhounds On My Trail released their 'Escape' EP, which found the group emersed in the sound of hazy and echoing shoegaze. Now set to release their forthcoming 'Haunted Isles' EP, the Melbourne-based foursome have shared the first track taken from the record entitled 'Over The Wall'. Tapping into the feel of early 80s new wave and post-punk whilst still using their platform on shoegaze as an underneath, the band have found an excellent blend, which makes us eager to hear their upcoming release.

Listen to Haarlo’s ‘Love’s Gone’

Back in 2013, Melbourne's Haarlo released their debut EP 'Dreamlands' spawning the dark and soulful single 'What You Want'. The duo consisting of singer Stacey Gardiner and producer Jono Steer make their return with a new track titled 'Love's Gone'. Adding more of a pop sound amidst their concrete soul blueprint, the single is a warming delight, with their music accessible to the mainstream without necessarily trying to eliminate the magic that brought fans on board from the start. Have a listen to 'Loves Gone' below.
