Hanni El Khatib Unveils His Latest Track ‘Dumb’

Hanni El Khatib is gearing up for the release of his new album 'FLIGHT', out May 15th on Innovative Leisure. From what we can tell so far, the record is a reflection of all the multiple styles of music that Hanni grew up with in San Francisco, ranging from garage rock and punk to Hip-Hop and soul. Tapping producer Leon Michels to work on the LP, this is listed as Hanni El Khatib's most well-rounded work.

Listen to Pat Lok’s Spirited Single ‘Salvation’

L.A. producer Pat Lok steps up with a soulful house offering dubbed 'Salvation'. The song is taken from his forthcoming EP 'Gone is Yesterday', which will get released via Kitsune Musique. Tapping into more of a 90s styling, the tune is stacked with ethereal synths, lush vocals and grooving 4x4 kicks. Definitely a feel-good and uplifting record, 'Salvation' is that needed ray of sunshine at the moment.

Hanni El Khatib ‘ALIVE’ Video

Making his return with the track and video 'STRESSY' last month, Hanni El Khatib now unveils another vid, this time for the second single titled 'ALIVE'. What you have here is Hanni dressed up in a Sylvester the Cat costume whilst taking a fall down a very long set of outside steps. While you can pretty much place the metaphorical nature of the visuals to the track itself, we're just hoping that it only took Hanni one take to do that fall! 'ALIVE' is taken from his forthcoming album 'Flight', which is out May 15th on Innovative Leisure.

Holy Boy Shares a Cover on The Doors’ ‘Riders on the Storm’

L.A.-based Helene Alexandra Jaeger, known to the world as Holy Boy, makes her return with a cover of The Doors' classic song 'Riders on the Storm', which was originally featured on their 1971 album 'L.A. Woman' and released as the second single of the LP. Slowing down the tempo on her reworked version, Holy Boy gives the song a darker feel as nightly drum programming accompanies haunting keys.

For this offering The Paranoyds deal with the transitions into adulthood with the garage rock instrumentation also embodying 60s pop melodies.

Comprised of menacing guitar lines and Sean Solomon's haunting vocals, the tune is a dark stir of post-punk and grimacing indie that hits like a power blow to the chest.
