London duo Le Son have shared a soulful and tender single entitled 'Ava'. Minimal to a degree in production, relying mainly on soulful piano riffs and open drums as vocalist Emily Ady skates through the space with jazz-filled vocals, the song is out now via the Squareglass imprint.
In a press statement regarding 'Ava', singer Emily Ady mentioned:
"The lyrics came to me whilst commuting into central London and catching glimpses of news headlines and overheard conversations. I was interested in disconnecting myself from personal relation, trying to put myself in a younger frame of mind and imagining how I would feel in that kind of situation."
Comprised of Liam Fergus and Emily Ady is the London-based group Le Son. The pair bridge together sonic elements of free jazz, soul and experimental electronica, creating an easing soundscape that is genuinely ear-pleasing. Recently signed to the Squareglass label, the duo have unveiled their new single entitled 'Without A Sound'. Composed of minimal production, the main course of the track include Ady's rich vocals alongside a fuzzy piano riff decorated with sheer bips of beautiful additives.
