With their third album 'The Search For The Miraculous' scheduled to land February 22nd, London band Desperate Journalist have shared another single taken from the LP entitled 'Satellite'. The track follows their previously shared cut 'Cedars'. Like their previous single, the song jumps through the speakers with grand production, stacked with shooting guitar solos, with singer Jo Bevan adding the extra spice on top, complimenting the arrangements with a lush vocal performance. This is another peek through the window at what to expect with the forthcoming LP, and we're highly anticipating it.
Lillie West aka Lala Lala and Yoni Wolf of WHY? come together for their collaborative single and video 'Siren 042'. Directed by Scott Fredette, the video depicts West and Wolf frantically running throughout the city from someone or something, ending with Yoni literally jumping off of a ledge before Lala Lala is presented with a bouquet of flowers. Yes the video is slightly weird but the song itself is an atmospheric dream pop bit that is highly infectious.
Siblings Say Lou Lou crept into the tail end of 2018 with one of the most enjoyable albums of the year. 'IMMORTELLE' is their latest LP which is a glorious mixture of cinematic pop, moody trip-hop and more. The pair's lead off single 'Golden Child' followed with an incredible video that could be considered more like a short film. Now the sisters have dropped another epic visual treat with the 'IMMORTELLE'. Another impeccable short film directed by Philippe Tempelman, themes of hysteria, body modification, birthing children in this age, and expectations are all questioned and challenged. Say Lou Lou continue to raise the levels in music, film and fashion, hitting the bullseye right in the middle.

The video is directed by Mariza Kapsabeli and Daphne Lz, with the song featured on Daphne and the Fuzz's new LP '2 AM' out via Inner Ear Records.

There is a soul-stirring magic to the music of Swedish singer Cajsa Siik. However, after releasing organically rich soundscapes for the past six years, with her critically acclaimed third album 'Domino' having dropped in 2017, she began to feel a block inside, coming to odds with the ideas that she wanted to convey, all the while feeling silenced by surrounding noise. Whilst fans have always been immersed in her poetic delivery, Siik began struggling to write. Although this can be an utter nightmare for most artists, she did what many would be afraid to do - simply submit to silence. Within that quietness and stillness, she swam deeper in her thoughts, almost re-examining the person she used to be and the person she is now, creating a meeting ground for the two.
Australian band Seaside is a group that you should definitely get to know. Hailing from Byron Bay, they released their EP 'Lover, We All Have Our Vices' at the top of the year. A lush taste of dream pop, the four piece group now bring forth their latest track titled 'Golden Girl'. Adding a dose of upbeat funk to their already impressive pop palette, this is one of those tunes where everything from their brilliant instrumentation to the seductive vocals fit perfectly together like a hand in glove. Again, Seaside should be on your radar...asap! Have a listen.
