Rock icon Iggy Pop and Chan Marshall aka Cat Power have come together for a cover version of Marianne Faithfull's 1979 track 'Working Class Hero'. The tune is taken from the forthcoming LP 'The Faithful: A Tribute to Marianne Faithfull', out December 8th.
For the new Gucci Tailoring campaign the company has made it a star-studded event by enlisting none other than Iggy Pop, A$AP Rocky and Tyler The Creator. Fun and spirited, a Harmony Korine-directed video has been released showcasing the trio dressed between 1970s flamboyancy and modern prep.
Iggy Pop has shared the video for his track 'We Are The People', which is featured on his latest LP 'Free'. With the song spawned from a 1970s poem by the late Lou Reed, the timing of the video coincides with Reed's birthday which is March 2nd. Directed by Simon Taylor, the visuals themselves are concentrated on close-up shots of Iggy whilst he recites the lyrics.
London-born, Paris-based artist ALA.NI has released her new album 'ACCA'. Written in various cities including in several cities including New York, Mexico and Los Angeles, the LP features guests appearances by music legend Iggy Pop, as well as Lakeith Stanfield. Aside from executing stunning performances throughout the songs, ALA.NI also uses multiple vocal layering techniques, with her voice becoming a part of the instrumentation within the production.

What begins with simply his voice and a funky bass line, evenutally progresses to an upbeat rhythm topped with slick, surf guitar riffs, and even trumpet splashes courtesy of Leron Thomas.

With a sound energetic and full of life, the foursome have shared the video for their latest Iggy Pop collaboration track 'Aggrophobe'. Stylishly directed by Olivier Richomme, the video finds the girls fashionably dressed whilst doing random things backstage in the midst of waiting to come out and perform on stage. Japan's Hotei teams up with rock and roll giant Iggy Pop for the track 'Walking Through The Night', which is taken from the LP 'Strangers'. Unveiling the video for the track, clips of a guy strolling the streets of Tokyo seeming to be fighting a temptation of sorts are interwoven between scenes of sword-swinging master and posters of Iggy Pop plastered throughout city walls.
