Parisian label Kitsuné have released the sixth edition of their 'Kitsuné Parisien' compilation series. The 15-track LP highlights a range of diverse artists from France who are currently blazing trails. Some of the artists featured include Ehla, Violette Fleur Bleue, Matveï, Premiere Fois and more. The record is a melting pot of musical styles from synthpop, house, electronica and more.
Munich band KYTES have released their new LP 'good luck'. Comprised of eleven tracks, the album draws influence from 80s pop, indie, dance. Bursting with peppy melodies and shimmering production, the sophomore record follows their 2016 debut 'Heads and Tales' which was welcomed with warm brace from various media entities around the globe.
London band Nimmo have been one of the most consistent bands in the past few years, dropping massive track after track. Their LP 'The Power' was definitely one of the highlights of 2019. They now return in 2020 with another single and video titled 'Do I Have To Learn It?' The visuals feature Sarah Nimmo and Reva Gauntlett out in the streets of London performing the song whilst simultaneously having a good time.
Ukrainian DJ and producer Matuss is gearing up for the release of her upcoming EP 'Seizure No.13'. The new work marks the 13th record by the artist on her Absence Seizure imprint. Consisting of four cuts in total, the EP features guest vocals by NYC singer Sophie Buskin. Musically Matuss delivers entrancing deep house with Silent Surrender providing a remix of the song 'Solicitors Are Welcome'. Seizure No.13 is out 30th. Have a listen.
Bristol artist Henry Green has announced news of his forthcoming new album. Titled 'Half Light', the LP lands June 12th on Akira Records. Green has also shared his new track 'Realign', which is taken from the upcoming record. Atmospheric in sound, the ethereal production features gorgeous piano lines with a backing 4x4 beat.
Purple Disco Machine makes his return with his silky single 'In My Arms'. Crafting together a perfect blend of disco and soulful house, the production is stacked with gorgeous piano lines, Jocelyn Brown sampled vocals and a thick, funk-driven bass line that is utterly grooving. The track is a massive record, finding Purple Disco Machine setting off 2020 in a big way.
MJ Cole has shared a new remix of his unreleased track 'Dizzy New Heights', courtesy of Bristol producer Shanti Celeste. Whilst you can hear the otherworldly sound of MJ Cole embedded in the track, Shanti Celeste delivers a pumping future house rendition that is not only body moving but mentally cerebral. No strangers to Defected Records having released 'The Lights Go On' and 'The World Is Crazy' EPs years back, Italian duo Supernova return to the imprint with their latest single 'Can't Stand' featuring Los Angeles-based singer Marley Monroe. Last month rising artist Gabriel Eva shared her soul pop single 'HEY!'. She now unveils an alternative mix to the song. More of a remake, the tune is transformed into a future house / nu soul gem.
