Manchester's Francis Lung has unveiled his latest single 'Internet', a rapid follow-up to his latest LP 'Miracle' which landed this past June. A soothing taste of indie pop with a dash of Americana, the track touches on our constant reliance and addiction to modern technology, something that has been problematic for quite a long while.
With Francis Lung's 'Mother’s Son Vol II' EP out September 16th, the artist has shared a re-recorded version of his original demo cut 'A Selfish Man'. To accompany the track, Lung has also shared a video for it which is semi-blurred out footage of a long drive on the road. Towards the end you can catch bits of a live performance weaved underneath the passing lights of the car ride. You can have a watch down at the bottom.
Apologies never sounded so grooving, as with the case of Francis Lung's latest single 'Dance 4 Sorrow'. Taken from his forthcoming EP 'Mother's Son', Lung employs a danceable indie pop silhouette which slighly incorporates traces of 80s new wave. The song finds Lung (Tom McClung) expanding past the sound he created with his former band WU LYF. Below is a stream of 'Dance 4 Sorrow'.
Francis Lung have also embarked on a number of shows around the UK. Check out the listings for dates and cities down at the bottom.
Francis Lung, the moniker of Manchester's Tom McClung, brings forth his new track 'My Love', a hazy, cool-out piece of alt-pop that is sprinkled with traces of calypso influences. The track is taken from his upcoming LP 'Faeher's Son Vol I', in which Lung played every instrument minus the violin on the cut 'Something Blue'. 'My Love' follows Lung's recent video 'Back One Day', released earlier this month.
