London band Famous (the project of Jack Merrett) will release their forthcoming debut LP 'Party Album' on October 11th via the untitled (recs) imprint.
Already having ties to the theatrical piece Ubu which ran at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London band Famous make a wave of a splash with their new mini-album 'England'. A roller coaster ride of post-punk, new wave and art-pop, krautrock and more, the six-track record is theatre in itself with vocalist Jack Merrett delivering bold performances reminiscent of the likes of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and even elements of Mark E. Smith of The Fall. You can also hear influences of David Bowie swirling around 'England'.
