Tijuana outfit Mint Field have announced news regarding their forthcoming EP 'Mientras Esperas'. Slated to land March 1st on Innovative Leisure, the band touches on sociological issues as well as the questioning one's existence. Comprised of five cuts in total, one of the singles features is this haunting tune 'Jardin de la Paz'. With the production quite minimal, the song is led by an eerie guitar riff, not to mention a thick, punching bass line, all accompanied by ghostly vocal works. After dropping her EP 'Plane Crash' last year, artist Bonnie Li is not gearing up to release her debut album 'Wǒ Men' in 2019. Setting the tone for the upcoming record, she has shared her latest track 'I Want You To Die'. The experimental track features Bonnie Li delivering a theatrical performance amidst unorthodox indie and 60s style pop. The song also finds the singer venturing musically in a different direction than her previous cuts. 'I Want You To Die' is out via Icons Creating Evil Art.
Austria's Anja Plaschg returns under her Soap&Skin project with the song 'Surrounded'. The song is taken from Plaschg's upcoming LP 'From Gas to Solid / you are my friend'. A theatrical offering which features the singer delivering a gripping vocal performance, the cinematic production is mountainous in size with Anja Plaschg continuing to create music that has a timeless appeal opposed to a shelf life expiration of a month or so. New York-based artist Lea Cappelli aka L'FREAQ has shared her latest single 'New Skin', taken from her forthcoming EP 'Weird Awakenings', out October 26th. A moody, cinematic and epic taste of experimental pop, the production jumps out of the speakers as running drum kicks are paired with mystery-inducing synths with L'FREAQ's smokey vocals leading the charge. Factor in the storytelling element of the songwriting and 'New Skin' quickly becomes a marvelous offering from the rising singer. The track comes amidst her recent signing to Extreme Music/Sony ATV and Saint Rogue Records.

Beginning with a minimal and twinkling etching of electronica, the song morphs into a lush and mid-beat 4x4 wonderland of vibrancy. Leeds band Menace Beach are scheduled to release their new LP 'Black Rainbow Sound' on August 31st via Memphis Industries. The pair have also shared a new song titled 'Satellite', which is featured on the forthcoming album. Using fuzzy analogue synths as the leading point to the electronic / no wave tune, there is a particular alchemy in the production, bridging a late 70s - early 80s sound with the now. Have a listen.
