secretsundaze Bank Holiday Special Oval Space & The Laundry, May 26, London

For the second bank holiday in May secretsundaze return to one of their favourite spots Oval Space. The May party at the same time last year was off the hook with the 2 terraces at Oval Space in full use and the party at capacity all day. In 2014 they expect no less. We are now very excited to reveal Panorama Bar resident and Dolly records boss Steffi will be headlining. Steffi is a fantastic DJ and one of the very finest to come out of the Ostgut / Berghain stable. Her music veers from booty bass to detroit vibes to lush deep house and her debut LP from last year ‘Yours and Mine‘ heralded her as a serious producer to boot. Supporting the headliner will be regular secretsundaze guest Martyn, a totally unique artist with his 3024 label showcasing his hybrid sound that takes in house, techno, bass and beyond.

Jupiter at Glasslands Gallery, May 24th, New York City

Jupiter is a French-English duo based in Paris, but they first met one night in London. An empty dancefloor, a one hit wonder (1982 funk classic Mama Used To Say), a band was born. Amélie and Quarles’ work relies on a common passion for a time when glitter and carelessness were kings. The impact of disco and electro-funk on their music is a clear one, yet the band happily quotes a wider range of influences, such as Sly & Robbie, Beach House, Alan Parsons Project, Siriusmo or even the Beastie Boys.

San Soda at Cameo Gallery, May 9th, New York City

Since its inception We Play House Recordings and especially San Soda have caused quite a stirr in the house music world. Getting praise and play from people like Jimpster, Ame, Deetron, Reggie Dokes and many, many more. The various San Soda E.P.’s (Limited Gear, Super Pim Pam Pet, Immers & Daarentegen Album Sampler) have all been well-received, and much more could be said about the ‘Vocals For Everyone E.P.’ released by FCL, the collaboration between San Soda and Red D. Featured tracks ‘Let’s Go’ and ‘More Than Seven’ both became huge club hits and have been dominating charts, parties and playlist for the whole of 2010.

Ian Pooley at Cameo Gallery, May 2nd, New York City

Born and raised near Frankfurt, Germany, Ian Pooley began his career alongside the new swath of DJs in the early 90s like Mausse T., Boris Dlugosch and DJ Tonka. After releasing countless 12”s on V2 Records, Ian moved on to form his own label Pooled Music in 2003. He’s remixed the likes of The Cardigans, Modjo, Nick Holder, The Green Velvet, and even Daft Punk.
