Crafting a wide spectrum of electronica firmly built around broken-beat drum patterns, the 8-track record is a well-driven ride of mood and intricacy. Dia is the moniker of Danielle Birrittella who actually trained as an opera singer. Last year she released her 'Tiny Ocean' EP via Manimal Records. A passionately delivery of chamber pop, post classical and more, the record was a wonderland of styles harmoniously swirled to one lush presentation. The vocalist now connects with NYC's Ski Lodge for the 'Gambling Girl' track. Taking the sound to more of a mellow electro helping, vocals are chopped and repeated throughout the tune whilst soft synths are layered on top of the 80s style drum programming.
