Dallas duo The Weird Sisters have been carving out a lane in the Texas DIY scene for a number of years now. That freedom has allowed the band to explore various rock sonics and even bizarre lo-fi style Hip-Hop tunes with vocalist Izaac Short delivering a rapping/singing style on tracks.
Let's be honest, in this day and age it's quite trendy for people to look like they are "punk" without having a care in the world for the music or culture. So when a band like Dream Nails come along it's a reminder that the core spirit of punk is alive and well. After all, their latest EP is titled 'DIY', not to mention the London-based trio have published their own zine to coincide with the release. Self-proclaiming themselves as 'feminist punk witches from hell', Dream Nails have shared their track 'Bully Girl', which is taken from the new LP. London-born, California-raised model and musician Staz Lindes contributes a series of self-portraits in rag & bone's D.I.Y Project.
