Listen to Nelson Can’s Haunting Track ‘Downtown’

Somewhere between the sounds of post-punk, indie and garage rock sit the Danish band Nelson Can. Dropping their self-titled EP in January of 2012, the group went on to hammer out a slew of records including their single 'Troublemaker', the 5-song bit 'EP2' and their 2014 full-length 'Now Is Your Time To Deliver'. Whilst Nelson Can's music has a haunting lift to it, they're undeniable Scandinavian cool makes them a truly remarkable trio hailing from the region.

Stream Sweet Tempest’s ‘Empty Box’

Last year Copenhagen-based duo Sweet Tempest released their EP 'Snow', a surreal package of dream pop, indie, new wave and more. However, the pair then went a little quiet with releases as they huddled in the studio to work on their next EP. Sweet Tempest now make their return with the track 'Empty Box'. Going slightly on the darker side, the group combine haunting guitar licks with airy vocals, sparking a blaze of dark pop and indie that is surely a tasty treat. We're definitely looking forward to the upcoming EP. 'Empty Box' is out now via Small Yellow Records.

Christian Nielsen Set to Drop ‘We Go On’ EP

Copenhagen producer Christian Nielsen will release his new EP 'We Go On' via Play it Down on January 20th. Comprised of three songs, Nielsen fires off with a full round of tech and classic house for the dance floors. With the title track driven by a hefty bass line, soulful vocals and a sequenced synth line, Nielsen follows the cut with 'Last Night', a fiery and upbeat classic style house bit built around looped piano riffs and pounding drums.

Stream Lisa Bregneager’s Moody Track ‘In the Blue’

Having released music under the name Lisa Alma, which includes the 2016 record 'Thigh', the Danish singer has undergone a transformation of sorts. Now recording under the moniker of Lisa Bregneager, she is set to unveil a new album entitled 'Slowdancing', out November 25th. The first offering from the LP is the moody track 'In the Blue'. The open and spacious production has a slight haunt as Bregneager's breezy vocals weave throughout the space. You can listen to 'In the Blue' down at the bottom.

Kasper Bjørke Unveils His Soulful Single ‘Cloud 9’

Copenhagen's Kasper Bjørke pumps out a soulful slice of electronica with his latest track 'Cloud 9'. Teaming up with Urdur of the Icelandic band GusGus, the song is layered with spacey synths and bouncy 90s drum programming. 'Cloud 9' is taken from Bjørke's upcoming mini-LP 'Fountain of Youth' which will land via hfn. It's also out as a single pack which includes remixes by Weval, as well as Marvin and Guy.
