Stream Immersion’s New Instrumental Track ‘Fireflys’

As a duo Colin Newman and Malka Spigel have been creating music technically harking back the mid 80s. The team would go on to release their debut album 'Oscillating' in 1994, followed by 'Full Immersion' (1995) and 'Low Impact' (1999). Eventually taking a break to work on their other respected ventures, Newman and Spigel make the return under the Immersion name with their forthcoming LP 'Analogue Creatures Living On An Island', out November 25th via swim~. One of the songs featured on the album is the entrancing, minimal electronic piece 'Fireflys'. A sparkling soundscape of such, we have a full stream of the tune down at the bottom. Have a listen.

Colin Newman to Release Three Solo Albums + Shares ‘Order For Order’ Track

Back in 1977, WIRE released their groundbreaking debut LP 'Pink Flag'. Whilst the band continued to release albums over the years including their 2015 self-titled LP and their recent 'Nocturnal Koreans'. However, between 1980 to 1982, frontman Colin Newman recorded three solo albums. 'A-Z', 'Provisionally Entitled The Singing Fish' and 'Not To' were all important LPs in the post-punk and new wave scene. Now Newman's solo records are getting re-issued with the first 'A-Z' landing October 28th via Sentient Sonics. The first single taken from the album is the brilliant post-punk piece 'Order For Order'.
