Preview The Black 80s’ Forthcoming LP ‘Heart to Art’

Montreal duo Hollis P Monroe and Overnite known together as The Black 80s will release their album 'Heart to Art' on September 16th via Sonar Kollectiv. With both acts already making their mark in the house scene, their new album is laced with a heavy dose of soul and future jazz, brilliantly weaved around 4x4-driven kicks. Ten tracks in total, the album includes guests Dominik Marz and Yannick Labbé. Vibrant and unquestionably rhythmical, the duo's perfect bridging of classic New York-style house with a forward-thinking deep embedding is a nourishment for the ears and moveable for the feet.

KROY Shares Her Luscious Track ‘Bones’

Known for her work as half of the group Milk & Bone, Camille Poliquin is transferring their sonic brand of emotional minimalism to an even deeper and personal journey with her solo project KROY. The Montréal-based artist will release her album 'Scavenger' on September 23rd via Dare to Care Records in Canada and Honeymoon in The U.S. One of the songs taken from the forthcoming LP is the surreal and sky-lifting electronic pop bit 'Bones'. Poliquin finds the spot-on middle ground mark between beautifully touching and a mid-tempo sway, which allows the track to not fall into a dreary abyss of gloom.

Kenny Glasgow Releases His New Album ‘Circus Tales’

Canadian producer and DJ Kenny Glasgow was already a mainstay in the music scene of Toronto. Completely kicking in the international doors as a member of Art Department along with Jonny White, the pair went on to take the electronic world by storm. After dropping a number of solo recordings stemming back to 2008, Glasgow now unleashes his new LP 'Circus Tales'.

Stream July Talk’s Moody Track ‘Strange Habit’

It has been almost four years since the release of July Talk's self-titled debut album. After satisfying the hunger from fans with their first single 'Push + Pull', taken from their forthcoming LP 'Touch', the Canadian outfit now unveil the second single titled 'Strange Habit'. Contrasting 'Push + Pull' which was a mid-tempo, spicy cut of alternative, 'Strange Habit' slows down the tempo with one drop piano notes, swinging drums and smokey synth blankets. Sleek and seducing, 'Strange Habit' is another winner that leads up to believe that 'Touch' would have been well worth the wait. Check it out.

ROMES ‘Tryna Be’ Video

Toronto band ROMES deliver a quite bizarre video for their song 'Tryna Be'. The Mafalda Millies-directed visuals feature a woman dressed in a strange costume trekking through various parts of New York City performing dance moves. From restaurants to the park, she dances clear from day to night! 'Tryna Be' is taken from ROMES' debut EP 'Believe'. Check it out.

Slow Down Molasses Share Their Latest Cut ‘Moon Queen’

Following up their 2015 LP 'Burnt Black Cars', Canadian rockers Slow Down Molasses are set to release their forthcoming album '100% Sunshine' out September 2nd via Noyes Records. The band has now shared the first single taken from the LP entitled 'Moon Queen'. Produced by Slow Down Molasses along with Chad Munson, the song is an energetic set-off as the band get ready to head over to Europe for a series of shows beginning August 31st in London.
