Birmingham group SHE have unveiled their latest cut 'Lay Low', which has already been spotlighted on BBC Introducing. Lyrically tapping into the subject of personal faith, the song is an ethereal sensation of indie pop, glistening uncontrollably and also continuing to reflect the rapid maturity of the band since their initial impressive debut. For fans of groups like London Grammar and The xx, SHE will definitely please the ears.
Birmingham's YOUTH MAN have been shaking things up around the Midlands for a few years, dropping their 'Bad Weather' EP back in 2013. Freshly signed to Alcopop! Records, the energetic punk band are now working on a new EP which is coming down the pipeline this year. YOUTH MAN have also shared a new track titled 'I Don't Know', which will be featured on the forthcoming record. Sinister and raw in sound, fuzz-drilling guitar riffs and thundering drumming run parallel to Kyila Whyte's in your face vocal delivery.
Cherri V kicks off 2018 with a new track titled 'Swimming' which features Birmingham emcee RoxXxan. Produced by XVR BLCK, the milky soundscape oozes with soul as Cherri V glides over the lush production with RoxXxan, who has been highly rated in the grime and Hip-Hop scene for a number of years now, adding that extra spice, making this one tasty serving. This is for those who sit comfortably in that beauty called love.
It's almost hard to believe that 10 years ago the sounds of bassline producers were literally being played on on mainstream radio, featured on Ministry Of Sound compilations and the whole nine. At that point having been reincarnated for the second time, the sound which originally picked up after the 90s style of speed garage and had it's origins in the Sheffield nightclub Niche, took the UK by storm.
Birmingham band Pleasure House is a name should get familiar with. Dropping their 'Show Your Colours' last year, the group have been definitely ringing bells in the Midlands. Gearing up for the release of their new 'Sentient' EP, out on the 26th of May, the group have shared their new track 'Father's Son'. A well-crafiting of alternative, the tune follows their recently shared cut 'Mind Control'.
