Modern techno music as we know it may have been pioneered by The Belleville Three in Detroit, however the foundation that Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May helped to build eventually spread around the world inspiring young producers in Germany, the UK and more, eventually reaching as far as Tel Aviv. Whilst Israel may not be the first country one may think of in terms of the genre, there are DJs and producers creating the music and adding their identity, spreading the sound to international territory. One of those producers are Nela. The Israeli-born artist is fostering a rich and astounding sound bursting with musicality. Already a fixture as a performer in her native Tel Aviv, the now Berlin-based act is establishing herself as a force in the electronic scene pumping out top-notch records and rocking the dance floor as a DJ.
Berlin duo Lea Porcelain cannot do any wrong in our eyes at the moment. Releasing some of the post potent post-punk tracks over the past year, the pair will finally drop their debut album 'HYMNS TO THE NIGHT' on June 16th. The announcement follows Lea Porcelain's Bruce Springsteen cover 'Streets of Philadelphia', in which a video was recently posted. Recorded in Berlin’s FUNKHAUS, the process was spread throughout a two year period.

It's been a while since Thieves Like Us released an album. In fact their last LP 'Bleed Bleed Bleed' dropped back in 2012. In the midst of the band's hiatus, Thieves original member Pontus Berghe parted ways. However, the made their official return in January of this year with a new self-titled album, released via Seayou Records. Keeping in stride with their tradition of cutting up old European films, Thieves Like Us have unveiled their latest video for the tune 'Moon'. The music of Kraków Loves Adana stems from a place of truth, depth and life. Comprised of Deniz Cicek and Robert Heitmann, the Hamburg-based pair who met in 2006, have gone on to create a solid discography of emotive and ultimately moving indie records that are as core and touching as they come.
Berlin-based artist Lee Margot creates under the name Non-Human Person. Similar to her moniker, there is indeed something otherworldly about her music. Atmospheric and hypnotic electronica has been the foundation of her sound for the past few years. Making her return with her latest EP 'Criminal', the title track is an ethereal and ambient soundscape of dreamy production whilst Margot uses her seductive vocals to further reel listeners in.
Currently based in Berlin, Swedish artist Emma Elisabeth blends lush pop melodies with a tender nod at 70s and 80s fixtures.
