Batz Interview

Melbourne band Batz are good...intensely good. With a sound that stirs together indie, surf and punk, just to name a few, they are a representation of everything that is utterly great about rock. Consisting of Christina Aubry, Joshua Aubry, Dali Platt, Jim Stirton and Jakob Kagan, the band shared a batch of tunes throughout 2015 including the lively garage/punk cut 'Take It', 'Follow Me' and the lustrous surf rock-fused song 'Sid & Nancy'. Batz returned in 2016 with the late night rocker ‘3 AM Pony’, which can be considered the soundtrack of the dreg. Even though the song may spring visuals of drunken staggering, hedonistic excursions and grimy nocturnal adventures, Batz managed to make the song sound uber sexy and intriguing.

Stream Twin Haus’ ‘Nothing Lavish’ EP

Australian band Twin Haus have released their long-awaited EP 'Nothing Lavish'. Whilst the title could downplay this recording, musically the band goes far and beyond lavish with four cuts of pure sophistication. Ry X Returns with His Moody Single ‘Only’

Releasing his 'Berlin' EP back in 2013, as well as 'Liminal' with his band The Acid, Australian artist Ry X makes his return with a new single entitled 'Only'. Taken from his forthcoming album 'Dawn' out May 6th via Infectious Records, the single is driven by moody piano riffs and beautiful minimalism, something that has become a staple of Ry X's work in the recent years.

Over the past couple of years Sydney-based singer Elizabeth Rose has recorded quite the interesting tunes that weave between the lanes of future soul, r&b and pop. Releasing her self-titled EP in 2014, Rose worked with producers such as M-Phazes, pumping out some really stealth material. Back with her new song, Elizabeth Rose teams up with REMI for the summery and bouncy r&b laced bit 'Playing With Fire'. The tune is featured on Rose's forthcoming debut LP 'INTRA', out March 4th.

Stream Private Life’s Latest Track ‘Dragon’

Over the past few years Australian duo Private Life have released some pretty catchy records including the 'Otherside' EP. Now the Melbourne indie pop group have brought forth their latest single 'Dragon'. Huskier and broader in sound, the tune should set the band off nicely in 2016 as it is, in our opinion, their most accessible and intriguingly infectious track yet.
