Toronto's Austra is gearing up for the release of her new album 'Future Politics', out January 20th via Domino Records. Having shared the track 'Utopia' last month, London producer Ikonika now transforms the single into a thumping future bass meets grime remix. Using stretched synths to coincide with slow, skippy drums, this version is a head-nodder that will make you want to turn your speakers up quite loud. Check it out.
The latest video for Austra's single 'Utopia' is definitely a weird one. Sure some people will find that being in an all-white room knocking over a glass of water and eating worms a utopian experience, we're going to say that it kind of resembles either a take on heaven or a modern psych ward. The video is directed by Noe and Paul & Stefan Moore of That Go.
