Whenever you gain the praise of music legend Iggy Pop, then you know you're creating something special. After dropping their tune 'Thick Skin' months back, London band False Heads have now released their double-A side single 'Weigh In / All Eyes' via Gary Powell's 25 Hour Convenience Store imprint. Sharing their cut 'All Eyes In', the band musically weave between a mellow, cool start-up to an all-out scorching build-up of finely-crafted and arranged alternative and punk. Packing a punch of force, False Heads are definitely an exciting and engertic band steam rolling through the industry at the moment.
Many months back L.A.-based band The Raveonettes launched their 'RAVE-SOUND-OF-THE-MONTH' project in which the duo would unveil a new song every month until December. Revealing their ninth track of the series entitled 'This Is Where It Ends', the song is a breezing and mellow of contrast of fairy tale vocals, laced a cinematic, haunting and surreal backdrop.

It was also no surprise that the two drew attention to radio shot callers such as Annie Mac and Huw Stephens. But like many bands who understand one particular concept...you're only as good as your last single and a great full-length is the true writing on the wall on what an act can do. But like the city that they live in, there is an "F you" attitude toward the rule books, which is actually why their self-titled LP goes far beyond the mark of exceptional-they have musically done what they've wanted to do.
Lake Komo have shared their latest single 'Weight of Fear and Doubt', out now on Columbia Records. Further stepping into the big boy arena of the mainstream, the emotive tune which deals with the subject of depression, is a mature and glistening package of alternative and pop, that further proves that Lake Komo are indeed ready to hit that charts with ease.
