Hero Fisher is not just an artist whose memorable birth name implies a destiny of greatness, yet rather one that has already begun to show the world her majestic creativity through music, as well as visuals. Her voice is beyond gorgeous with a vivid and imaginative songwriting ability that has been compared to the likes of giants such as Leonard Cohen. Based in London, the Parisian-raised act confidently defies the idea of music genres, creating more of a soundscape that is fitting to the mood of her story. The package is a weaving journey that is powerfully driven, and one where the listener comfortably submits to Fisher's command of the destination.
Glasgow's The Spook School is in our top tier list of modern bands who we are highly enjoying. Having signed to Alcopop! Records this year, the grup will release their third album 'Could It Be Different?' on January 26th.

Whilst listening to the news on a daily basis can provoke high levels of pessimism, …
Back in 2012, Dark Horses released their debut LP 'Black Music'. Following-up with their sophomore album 'Hail Lucid State' two years later, the group have finally made their return with a new track entitled 'XIII'. Euphoric with new wave synths, post punk guitars and ghostly vocals, the pulse-raising tune is the track that we've surely been expecting from the band. Out November 24th via Tricky Spirits Records, Dark Horses are expected to release a new album sometime in 2018. For now you can stream 'XIII' down below.
London's Emma Topolski aka Saint Clair has unveiled her new single 'Human Touch', taken from her forthcoming EP 'D2', out in 2018. Written in response to the ending of a relationship, Topolski's well-rounded approach to delivery shines as the alt-pop production serves as her playground.
Swiss-born, now Berlin-based singer and artist Evelinn Trouble continues to push through any boundaries of normality with her latest single 'Sunset Everytime'. A woozy and hazy taste of alt-pop, the song is the closing of a chapter and the start of a new beginning, which was a manifestation in Trouble's personal life. Swaying 50s guitar riffs coincide with light drumming as the song morphs into a haunting dreamlike state.
Placing Slothrust and Brittany Spears in the same sentence sounds about as crazy as calling Donald Trump sensible. However, whilst one wouldn't immediately associate the Boston alternative band with a pop act like Spears, they have created quite the cover version of her hit single 'Baby One More Time'. Completely restructuring the cut into a swinging alt rock hitter 10 times better than the original version in our opinion, the song is taken from Slothrust's 'Show Me How You Want It To Be' EP of covers which also includes reworkings of Black Sabbath's 'Electric Funeral' and Al Green's 'Let’s Stay Together', just to name a few. Have a listen below.
North London-based band Desperate Journalist have shared their latest track 'All Over', which is the final single taken from their critically acclaimed LP 'Grow Up'. The song comes ahead of their October 19th show at The Dome in London. They have also decided to give away the song for free on their website desperatejournalist.co.uk. Packed with a punch of post-punk with spiky pop melodies, 'All Over' is Desperate Journalist closing out their album run with a bang. Have a listen.
Brooklyn band Dead Leaf Echo are set to release their second album 'Beyond.Desire' on October 13th via PaperCup Music. The LP was recorded with My Bloody Valentine engineer Guy Fixsen, as well as Jorge Elbreht of Ariel Pink and No Joy fame. One of the songs featured on the album is this freshly shared track entitled 'Sunless Soul'. Whilst the content displays peeks of melancholy pertaining to loneliness, there is a contrasting element to the musical backing which bursts with hope. Have a listen.

Records, the 4-song record explores topics such as love down to the enjoyment of life. Using organic and fresh indie pop sonics, Lots Holloway is ready to take the world by storm.
