Preview the Forthcoming PIAS Super Chilled Compilation

London label Play It Again Sam will release their 'Super Chilled' compilation on January 15th. As the title suggests, the new recording is packed with laid-back and mellow tunes by acts such as Beach House, alt-J, Royksopp and Basement Jaxx, just to name a few. 34 tracks in total, the 'Super Chilled' record will probably aid one in the midst of this cold winter. You can stream a mini-mix of the compilation below.

Leo Abrahams Interview

Leo Abrahams is the musician’s musician. The guitarist, pianist, producer, arranger and composer has not only worked with some of top tier acts in the music business, but has released cutting edge solo albums that are more like sonic paintings, creative and vivid. Having played piano and guitar from the time of a youth, Abrahams was a member of various bands as a teenager, later attending London’s Royal Academy of Music. Initially concentrating on a career as a classical composer, he was presented with an opportunity to play with Imogen Heap, and from there it was off to the races.

The Magnettes Interview

Youthful spirits with the feelings of running free, the transition into the next chapter of life - sometimes embraced, sometimes appalled...the rebel yells are fiercely heard. The words scream of love and lust, happiness and hurt, yet all ring out with a charismatic lilt. Enter the world of Sanna Kalla and Rebecka Digervall, the Swedish duo known as The Magnettes. Raised in the northern town of Pajala, Kalla and Digervall formed a band in their early teens, playing in local establishments. Influenced by a variety of styles ranging from punk to folk, by 2012 the two released their debut single 'Paper Cuts', a lofty pop rock song that showcased their rapidly matured new sound and star-like quality.
