A$AP Mob founder A$AP Yams has sadly passed away, as fellow A$AP members have taken to social media to pay condolences to the 26 year old mastermind. The official cause of his death has yet to surface. A$AP Yams, born Steven Rodriguez, grew up in Harlem, NY. As reported by the New York Times, Rodriguez began to intern for Diplomats Records as a teenager which boasted Hip-Hop stars such as Cam'ron. Already formulating the A$AP idea by age 17, Yams met A$AP Rocky in 2008 and through the use of savvy online strategy, helped to propel the artist into stardom, making Rocky one of the most sought out rappers in the industry, all within a couple of years.
