A few months back New York-based artist Tanners released her self-titled debut EP. Impressively packed with spacey pop within the 4 song working, Tanners quickly returns with a new single titled ‘Venus’. Layered with fuzzy, thick-spread synths and pouncing drum kicks aided with echoing snares, the lush tune finds Tanners leaning more towards the mainstream pop lane. ‘Venus’ is currently available for streaming on most platforms.
Drawing inspiration from a trip to South East Asia which helped to spark the single, Tanners stated:
“At night the sky was jet black, but the moon and stars were so bright that you didn’t even need a light. With some practice, I got pretty good at identifying stars and planets and it kind of became my party trick. ‘Venus’ was the earliest to rise and was also the brightest point in the sky, so it became my reference point throughout my trip.
